At Seniors Helping Seniors® Syracuse, Onondoga, Oneida, Oswego, Cayuga, Seneca & Wayne Counties, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) Deb Turner, Mike Turner firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: Syracuse, Oneida, Madison, and surrounding communities. Mike and Deb Turner, owners and operators of Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services throughout Oswego, Cayuga, Seneca, Wayne County and the Baldwinsville area, are deeply committed to providing loving, quality care for seniors in their community.

“We became franchise partners with Seniors Helping Seniors home services because we believe so strongly in the mission of providing affordable, reliable, compassionate care to seniors,” said Deb Turner. “We truly know that both those who provide services and those who receive them equally benefit from the relationship.”

Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services match seniors who want to help with seniors who need a little help. This peer-to-peer assistance allows seniors who need some help around the house, or with transportation, to receive support from someone whom they trust and with whom they can develop a relationship.

Mike and Deb recognize how important it is for older adults to feel productive and remain independent and comfortable in their own homes. With Seniors Helping Seniors services, older adults in the community who want to help are able to remain active and receive financial rewards for the hours they work. “Our providers, who are seniors themselves, understand what aging is about. They often come from a long history of caring professions, nurses, social workers, teachers and craftsmen. All our providers say they receive as much as they give,” said Deb Turner. “It’s simple. When seniors who want to help, meet and care for seniors who need help, everybody wins.”

The senior providers who work with Deb and Mike Turner offer many services including cooking assistance, light housekeeping, shopping, doctor visits, transportation, computer assistance, house maintenance, yard work, small repairs, pet care, 24-hour care and, most importantly, companionship.

Mike and Deb Turner live in Marcellus NY. Mike is a Senior Engineering Manager at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, NY. Mike is proud to contribute to the medical field of Front Line Preventative and Diagnostics Care; “we make products that improve lives”. Deb has always worked in the service industry and loves running her own business. She was drawn to Seniors Helping Seniors services because of their caring approach.

Together, they enjoy boating, fishing, snowmobiling, riding their ATV and spending time with their three sons, daughter and “the cutest grandson ever,” said Mike.

Both Mike and Deb had mothers who were caregivers for their parents and close relatives. “We saw the benefits of our family living at home, and we also saw how hard it was for our own mothers,” said Deb. “I often thought to myself how Seniors Helping Seniors services would have been so helpful to my mom. She would have been able to get a break even for a few hours each week that would have been time for herself and would have improved everyone’s quality of life.”

“Families face many challenges these days working or living away from their aging parents,” added Mike. “Seniors Helping Seniors services provides peace of mind and a reliable, trustworthy friend of the family.”
